The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) relies on MTSI expertise to provide program management, technical, and test and evaluation support to the DHS Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO), Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate, and Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Air and Marine (CBP OAM).
MTSI delivers skills in radiological/nuclear detection systems, including an understanding of the signatures associated with potential threats and the implications for potential detection systems and operational concepts to DNDO.
Our support to S&T includes engineering and technical services for the Airborne Technologies program. This cornerstone effort includes execution of the Robotic Aircraft for Public Safety operational assessment of small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for the first responder community. We also provide acquisition, engineering, and technology services support to OAM, including acquisition and operational testing for the Predator UAS and the maritime version called Guardian.
MTSI employees provide design and acquisition recommendations for OAM’s maritime vessel programs, and OAM continues to call upon our expertise in conducting operational test and evaluation of various airborne platform upgrades to sensors and command and control architectures.
