Scott Coale

Executive Vice President, Defense Services Division

Scott Coale is the Executive Vice President and lead of MTSI’s Defense Services Division and the Dayton office operations. Scott is responsible for leading all aspects of the defense services business including flight test support, defense acquisition and technology, mission assurance, weapon system development and Air Force acquisition and technology. Scott joined MTSI in 2007 and has been a leader in MTSI’s business and proposal development, process improvement and strategic planning. He has also provided engineering and technical services to Wright-Patterson and other DoD customers and led OSD support team in drafting and publishing 2011 DoD Unmanned Systems Integrated Roadmap.

Prior to joining MTSI, Scott served 26 years in the Air Force as a commander, acquisition program manager, Pentagon staff officer, and flight test engineer. In his last two Air Force assignments, he served as vice commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory and as reconnaissance systems wing commander at the Aeronautical Systems Center. Scott has over 10 years of experience working with unmanned aircraft systems, including an assignment as program director for the Global Hawk system.

Scott is an active supporter of Dayton-area economic development activities. He served a four-year term on the Board of Directors for the Dayton Area Defense Contractors Association, including two years as the association president.

Scott holds a master’s degree in engineering mechanics, international public policy, and national resource strategy.
