Acquisition & Technology Support Services (ATSS)

Client
Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (USD(AT&L))

ATSS provides full-spectrum technical support to meet USD(AT&L) and other associated DoD-sponsored mission requirements in acquisition oversight, capability portfolio management, engineering, and in analytic and technical support. MTSI currently provides executive support and subject matter experts to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Acquisition (ASD(A)) and the Director of the Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO). Our support to the ASD(A) takes the form of recommendations to government clients on programs going through the Defense Acquisition Board process. Programs supported in some form include Presidential Aircraft Replacement, JSTARS Recapitalization, KC-46, MQ-4C Triton, RQ-4 Global Hawk, NATO AGS, MUOS, AEHF, WGS, EPS, AGM-88E, AIM 9-X Blk II, AMRAAM, JASSM, JASSM-ER, SDB II, B-2 EHF, MQ-9 Reaper, SBIRS, NGAD, MQ-25 Stringray, UCLASS, and National Intelligence systems. MTSI also drafts the annual Unmanned Aerospace Systems Task Force report to congress and prepares the Unmanned Systems Roadmap. In the area of Congressional actions, we analyze the impact of authorization and appropriations bills to the acquisition process as well as individual programs with recent emphasis on acquisition reform language in the FY2016 and 2017 Authorization Acts. As the principal contracting partner within the Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO) since its inception, the MTSI Team works side-by-side with our government clients to fill Combatant Commander gaps by repurposing existing systems and accelerating new technologies in innovative ways. We make recommendations regarding concepts for funding, prototype development, and demonstration as well helping transition the most promising capabilities to programs of record.
