Dayton Daily News: This local engineer helped capture the historic black hole image

The Dayton Daily News posted a Fascinating story on MTSI employee Ben Bosma’s contributions to NASA’s recent historic photo of a black hole.

“A Dayton engineer quietly played a pivotal role in NASA’s recent historic photo of a black hole.

The image captured the world’s attention in April, with NASA explaining that a global network of telescopes — dubbed the “Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration” — helped capture and stitch together the image.Ben Bosma, a retired Air Force fighter pilot and senior development engineer for Beavercreek defense contractor MTSI Inc., helped make that first-ever image possible.”
