MTSI Employee Spotlight Series: Josh Bush, Model-Based Systems Engineer

What kind of work do you do at MTSI?
I’m a Model-Based Systems Engineer specializing in SysML v2 and digital engineering. I develop system models that connect architecture, analysis, and simulation efforts while improving communication and consistency across teams.
What do you enjoy most about working at MTSI?
The opportunity to work on challenging problems where digital engineering and MBSE make real impacts. A lot of this work involves applying emerging methods to our customer’s problems, so there’s room to think critically, experiment, and help shape the approaches. I appreciate being trusted to contribute in that kind of environment.
What are a few things you like about living in Dayton?
Since moving to Dayton from Florida early last year, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the city’s architecture and parks (Carillon Historical Park being my favorite). The neatest part to me is Dayton’s history of innovation and being the former record holder of most patents per capita. The inventor’s spirit is still alive and I’m happy to be part of it!
