Recognizing the inherent challenges in digital transformation — from cultural shifts and technical hurdles to the need for logistical efficiency and overall readiness — MTSI prioritizes organizational change and workforce empowerment to better position our military forces ahead of evolving threats and challenges to our national security.
MTSI tailors digital transformation strategies to meet the particular needs of government and defense communities as well as joint- and multi-domain customers. We educate customers about our specialized services and demonstrate how we can collaborate in order to:
Improve mission effectiveness
Increase operational efficiency
Advance situational awareness
MTSI’s “Foundations for Enabling Digital Transformation” is a four (4) hour course designed to provide a detailed introduction of Digital Transformation including Digital Engineering, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Twins, DevSecOps agile software development, Open Architecture, and other elements of a Digital Ecosystem.
MTSI develops AFSIM Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) solutions that inform decision making across the scope of problems from component & phenomenology up to mission and campaign levels. Our expertise and experience in physics-based modeling, algorithms and system simulation anchor higher level mission and campaign analysis.
Our technically deep algorithm development capability enhances AFSIM MS&A solutions in topics such sensing/detection, image processing, tracking, classification, guidance, navigation and control. This work is enhanced by the development and use of AI/ML techniques.
MTSI has developed many custom designed system simulations to represent advanced systems and concepts – we also federate and tailor government- and commercial-off-the-shelf software with AFSIM where needed for efficiency and technical pedigree.
MTSI uses AFSIM to evaluate multi-domain kill chains and kill webs built on existing and future advanced concepts. Our analytic work spans mission areas from Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2), Precision Strike, Air and Missile Defense. We often develop simulation and analysis products that combine/integrate across these.
MTSI has a deep bench of AFSIM developers. We use AFSIM to model both blue and red systems, kill webs and multi-mission operations.
MTSI’s AFSIM modeling, simulation, analysis, and visualization capabilities span all domains including space. Our space model libraries consist of multi-phenomenology ISR, communication and navigation satellite constellations in all orbital regimes, LEO through GEO, and include models of the supporting ground infrastructure.
We have executed analysis of present-day, on-orbit capabilities as well as future capabilities at various epochs such as the Space Development Agency’s Tranche 1 and 2 tracking and transport layers. MTSI’s space models are integrated with our surface, ground, and air platform models in multiple Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) kill-web scenarios which enables quantification of space-based contributions and effects when analyzed with our kill-web metrics framework.

“In most cases, nobody has better stuff than us, but that exquisite capability does come at a time cost in producing them.”
- Mr. Doug Bush, former Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology
